The “Belt Bridle” tension stand provides back tension necessary to wind surface critical slit material into tight coils.
Multiple, narrow width tension belts are mounted on pulleys rotating in anti-friction bearings.
The bottom belt assembly is fixed in elevation, and the top belt assembly is clamped by hydraulic cylinders.
The belt assemblies are mounted on a precision slide base, which can be shifted front to back by manual handwheel to align belts properly with slit mults.
The tension belts slide against water cooled steel jackets. A water-cooling system IS NOT INCLUDED and must be supplied by Customer.
Provisions are included for entry and exit strip separator spindles to guide material. Separator spindles, discs and spacers ARE NOT INCLUDED and must be supplied by Customer.
